Charities and Not-for-profits Committee
The Charities and Not-for-profits Committee provides a network for lawyers interested in the law affecting not-for-profit organisations and charities.
Role and objectives
The role and objectives of this committeee includes to:
- engage with financial accountability and taxation laws and policies that affect not-for-profit organisations and charities;
- promote the administration of justice and the development and improvement of laws and policies affecting not-for-profit organisations and charities; and
- contribute to the implementation of the Law Council’s international strategy.
Benefits of membership
As a member of the Legal Practice Section, all committee members receive Section publications and other communications, and receive discounted registration to all conferences seminars conducted by the Section. Members also have access to a range of discounts and corporate plan agreements for domestic and international air travel and accommodation, and hire cars.
