Key Speakers

We are pleased to announce the key speakers for this event.

Professor Lee Godden
Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Victoria University of Wellington, Te Herenga Waka

The AEPLG will be honouring Professor Lee Godden, previously the Director for the Centre for Resources, Energy and Environmental Law, Melbourne Law School at the University of Melbourne, and now the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Victoria University of Wellington, Te Herenga Waka.

Professor Godden is a world leader in the law on water, climate change, planning and environment.  A former Australian Law Reform Commissioner, she reviewed the Native Title Act 1993, authoring its 2015 Connection to Country report.  She has written and contributed to many important books and publications in the fields of water, environment, climate change and related law and has taught and mentored decades of law students.
