Australian Young Lawyers Committee

The Law Council of Australia Young Lawyers’ Committee (LCA YLC) is an Advisory Committee of the Law Council of Australia. The LCA YLC represents young lawyers at a national level and seeks to advise the Law Council on issues affecting, and matters of concern to, Australian young lawyers. The Australian Young Lawyers’ Forum (AYLF) provides advice and assistance to the LCA YLC as required.

The LCA YLC and AYLF are also responsible for the coordination of the Australian Young Lawyers Awards and the National Golden Gavel.

Members

The LCA YLC, is elected annually by the AYLF. The Chair and Deputy-Chair are appointed by the Law Council for a period of two years. The current members of the LCA YLC are:

Awards

The Australian Young Lawyers' Forum administers awards and events related to Australian young lawyers, including the National Golden Gavel and the Australian Young Lawyer Award.
