Catherine Gale
January 2012
It's with great excitement and anticipation that I have taken over the helm of Law Council President. 2012 is shaping up as an important year for the Australian legal profession-both domestically and abroad. It will be a crucial period for the legal profession with the implementation of the new national regulatory legislation. This regulation, when introduced later this year, will create a single, uniform Legal Profession Act which will allow seamless national practice and benefit both lawyers and consumers of legal services. I look forward to leading the Law Council as it progresses this vitally important work.
