Who can join the Section?
Members of the Law Council of Australia's constituent bodies (the Bars and Law Societies) may join Law Council Sections. Persons not eligible to join a Bar or Law Society may be able to join a Law Council Section
What are the benefits of being a member of the Section?
- Members of the Federal Litigation Section are able to access the 'member only' section of the Federal Litigation Section website, which contains the Section Newsletter on-line, information bulletins, submissions and profiles of Committee activities with opportunity for providing your feedback.
- Members are provided with the opportunity to comment on issues being addressed by the Section and its Committees.
- Members have access to submissions lodged by the Section and its Committees.
- Members receive regular Newsletters and online information bulletins containing items of topical interest about developments in law and practice in the various areas covered by the committees.
- Members are able to participate in the Section's seminar program on advantageous terms.
- Members are eligible to join of any or all of the Section's Special Interest Groups
- Membership of the Section provides access to a range of discounts including corporate plan arrangements for domestic and international air travel, accommodation and hire cars.
- Perhaps most importantly, members of the Section become part of the "Law Council Family" and thus full members of the legal profession in Australia.
