Committees

The Committees are the business arm of the Section. They are responsible for the majority of policy work undertaken by the Section, and play a major role developing policy and submissions on behalf of the Law Council.

The Committees are also responsible for organising seminars, information bulletins, and other benefits for Section and Special Interest Group members.

Special Interest Group membership

Each of the Committees of the Federal Litigation Section have a special Interest Group, which Section members can join at no extra cost. Benefits enjoyed by Special Interest Group members include:

  • Provision of submissions lodged and updates on the work of the Committee
  • The opportunity to participate in the work of the committee through providing comments and feedback on the projects being undertaken by the Committee.
  • Opportunity for appointment to the Committee during the biennial review of Committee membership.
