The Administrative Law Committee exists to provide the Federal Litigation Section and the Law Council of Australia with a forum for the development of policy and submissions on matters relating to administrative law.
This includes liaison with bodies such as the Administrative Review Council, Australian Law Reform Commission, and Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department.
The Committee also aims to conduct periodic seminars for members, and to contribute articles to the Section's Newsletter.
Recently the Committee has contributed to the Law Council's submissions on: The Administrative Review Council, Report No 47 - The Scope of Judicial Review; the Senate Legal & Constitutional Committee Inquiry into the Migration Litigation Reform Bill 2005; and the Senate Legal and Constitutional Legislation Committee Inquiry into the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Amendment Bill 2004.
