Australian Young Lawyer Awards

The Australian Young Lawyer Awards are conducted annually by the Australian Young Lawyers Committee of the Law Council of Australia.

The Awards recognise excellence in young lawyers and young lawyer organisations in three categories:

  1. Programmes implemented by an organisation relating to professional issues;
  2. Programmes implemented by an organisation relating to community issues; and
  3. Continuous and outstanding contribution by an individual to the profession and the community.

The objects of the Awards are to:

  1. Encourage and foster Young Lawyer organisations to establish programs for the benefit and assistance of the profession and the community; and
  2. Recognise and reward the achievement and contributions of individual lawyers.

For further information on the Awards, please contact the Administrator for the Australian Young Lawyers Committee, Hendryk Flaegel, on hendryk.flaegel@lawcouncil.asn.au or (02) 6246 3788.
